Even before you get in, simply by clutching the door handle you activate the communication between the key fob and the vehicle?s computer. There is a silent signal sent between the two computerized mechanisms, and once the proper coding is recognized the door unlocks automatically ? with the vehicle?s key still snugly put away.

It doesn?t end there ?you climb inside and activate the engine security mechanism by pressing the brake pedal. That prevents unauthorized persons from attempting to activate the vehicle by pushing the button, because the safety feature prohibits the startup without a proper fob within range.
